How to write a property description buyers trust
A plain-English guide to writing a useful listing description without sounding like every other property ad.
A trustworthy description is specific. Buyers do not need vague promises. They need to know what the home offers, what the layout feels like and why it may suit them.
Open with the real strength
Start with the strongest feature: location, renovation, land size, outlook, family layout, low-maintenance living or development potential if it is genuinely supported. Avoid trying to say everything in the first sentence.
Move through the home logically
- Describe living, dining and kitchen areas first.
- Then cover bedrooms, bathrooms, storage and parking.
- Finish with outdoor space, nearby amenities and inspection details.
Use plain claims you can stand behind
Words like immaculate, rare or unbeatable can feel empty if they are not backed by detail. Instead, explain what has been updated, what is included and what buyers should inspect for themselves.
Keep it easy to scan
Short paragraphs work best. Buyers often read on a phone, so use simple sentences and let your photos and floor plan do some of the work.
Ready when you are
Start your property listing
Save a draft first, add the details at your own pace, then submit it for review when it is ready.
